3D Optical Effect

In Art class (Tuesday May 8) we began a new assignment — a simple 3D optical effect achieved by drawing a series of slender shapes, like strands, that appear to come from a distant focal point in the center of the paper and increase in size as they approach the paper’s edge. As we continue this project, these will be made to look 3-D by placing curved lines that attach two lines, creating the effect of a pole that recedes into (or emerge from) the background. Color will be limited. In this way students will see how line helps create optical effects.

Work will be posted upon completion.
